USA Football Launches ‘Adopt a League’ in Aftermath of Hurricanes

Through Adopt a League, school districts and youth football organizations may donate new or used equipment, including footballs, cones, tackling bags, shoulder pads, cleats, uniforms or non-football-related items such as hats or school supplies to help football programs and young athletes in need.

Leagues impacted by natural disasters, such as Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria, may apply here for assistance from other football programs. These leagues are also encouraged to apply for a USA Football disaster relief grant.

Leagues and organizations that wish to lend assistance to those affected by the natural disasters can express their interest here. USA Football will facilitate the league adoption process by pairing organizations together, uniting them directly through email correspondence.

“Our Adopt a League program is another way the football family unites and helps each other, personifying the values of our game, such as teamwork and sacrifice for the good of another,” said USA Football CEO SCOTT HALLENBECK. “I thank everyone for their participation and concern for those most in need across our sport.”
