High school football coaches: Ever wonder what would happen if you took your football coaching philosophy to the cheer team?
Well, a coach in Kenowa Hills (Mich.) has done it — with positive results.
Chris Hudson, a former nose tackle in football, agreed to coach the Kenowa Hills cheer team seven years ago, and he has the team among the top squads in Division 2 in Michigan.
“He’s works us really hard in practice, and sometimes, we really hate him,” sophomore Brae Mull laughed. “It’s like, ‘Why are you making us do this?’
