One of the lowest points for the Windsor High School (Colo.) football program sticks in Donavon Suman’s mind.

It’s always there, a reminder and source of motivation.

Suman was on the field as the Wizards were thrashed 51-0 at home by Fossil Ridge to finish the 2006 season with a 1-9 record.

Chris Jones took over as coach the next season, and Suman and stuck around to help Jones build the program after his 2008 graduation.

Nearly a decade later, Suman is the defensive coordinator on a coaching staff of 13 that includes eight Windsor High graduates.
