Sports Doc: Heatstroke Death Should Never Happen in Football

Heatstroke is preventable. Even one death is too many.

It has happened more than a handful of times in college. It only happened once in the NFL when Korey Stringer passed away in 2001.

It should never happen.

With proper athletic training supervision, heatstroke is preventable and treatable.
