Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson had a chance to score 100 after Cameron Baker’s eighth touchdown got the Yellow Jackets 99 points with the PAT to come.

But TJ coach Brant Anderson decided to leave it there, telling his team to take a knee on the attempt, as the Jackets outlasted the Stars 99-81.

“I just felt that football’s not a sport where you’re supposed to score 100 points,” Anderson said. “We just weren’t going to do it. I couldn’t have stopped us if we had to run a couple more offensive plays. At that point there I was like ‘Nah. We’re not getting 100.’ ”
