Maui locals, Rob Russell and Mike Lofaro, decided that they would accomplish their first IRONMAN with 1 goal; to raise money for the Maui High School Football Team. Their goal is to travel the 140.6 miles filled with running, biking, and swimming to raise $10,000 for the team. The idea is that the money will be able to provide the proper equipment for every player on the team.

“We’re going to complete this race for the team,” Russell concludes. “When we cross that finish line, we both plan to hold up Saber Football banners.”
