Football Team Incorporates Yoga into Program


When people think of football strength training many people think of traditional exercises such as bench press and squats.

Some high school programs are taking a different approach, like this Texas High School that is incorporating yoga into it’s program. Yoga adds flexibility which is necessary because it plays a role in speed and overall health of the team. The important part of any program is the buy-in from the team and when asked about the yoga program, one player said:

“Flexibility, something that we all need, and me personally, my hamstring, so I’m glad we’re doing it.”
