Here’s a story about a Brooklyn, N.Y., high school team that was at the bottom of the barrel before Bruce Eugene’s hire four years ago. But this is a story about a coach that is never content.

Mr. Eugene fumed as he watched the Wolves commit one blunder after another: The quarterback was overthrowing his receivers, the safeties were lagging in coverage and the offensive line was getting steamrolled.
