John Ward, coach of the Cesar Chavez High School football team, is interested in more than just wins (click here to view the video). He wants his players to be, in his words, “productive citizens.” Among other things, Ward created a “Titan Scholar” helmet sticker, worn by players who maintain a grade-point average of 3.0 or better.
